In their December issue, Cooking Light kicked off a new initiative called “Bake a Second Batch,” which encourages consumers to do more “from-the-heart” baking to give to those in need (or even to those in need of a little lift). To get it started members of the Cooking Light team in New York City baked second batches to benefit Cookies for Kids’ Cancer!
With the help of more than 100 Time Inc. and GroupM employees, Cooking Light donated 1,896 packages of baked goods for 24 Cookies for Kids’ Cancer bake sales across the country during the week of December 9.
These 24 bake sales have raised $10,000 for pediatric cancer research to date (the funds are still coming in!). Thanks to ALL the Good Cookies who hosted bake sales as part of the #BakeASecondBatch initiative.
